Marchang is the offering of libation to the gurus, deities, dakinis and protector deities before launching an important project or event or while receiving an important guest. Alcohol is offered in actual matter but its nature is transformed into five transcendental nectar in reality. The liturgy for such offering is normally the text composed by Pema Karpo.
