Statue Casting
The Bhutanese craftsman and artists use the technology of casting to create large bronze statues. Two kinds of casting, namely lost wax casting and sand casting are used to produce bronze statues. In this process, a sample is made of wax and then plastered with clay. Then, liquid bronze is poured through a hole to melt away the wax and fill the gap left behind with liquid bronze. After the bronze has cooled down and hardened, the clay plaster is removed.
