The traditional Bhutanese people have a strong link and sense of belonging to the land. Thus, Bhutan has a rich tradition of mythical and historical accounts of the place which is often explained through providing the etyomology of the toponyms. Through these narratives, we can understand the traditional Bhutanese worldview and their perception of nature and their land.
