Midline nuclear group
The midline nuclear group is made up of small, nonspecific nerve cells in the periventricular gray matter, separating the medial thalamus from the ependymal cells of the third ventricle. The midline nuclear group includes the paraventricular nucleus, paratenial nucleus, reuniens nucleus, rhomboidal nucleus, and subfascular nucleus. Mindline nuclear group is involved with memory-related functions and schizophrenia.
