Yogācāra-Mādhyamaka

This term was later used in the Kagyü and Nyingma schools to refer to their "empty of other" (gzhan stong) systems, which they differentiate from "Cittamātra." They at times used it or the rubric "Great Madhyamaka" (dbu ma chen po) to refer to an alternative dyadic division of Mādhyamaka into the Prāsaṅgika tradition of Nāgārjuna and the more contemplatively inclined tradition based on Maitreya and Asaṅga.
