Hand Tool Smithery

The Bhutanese use gold smithery and silver smithery to produce useful tools and artefacts. The containers for betel leaves and lime, the device to crush the areca nut, the inner plate of the burl wooden cups, silver bowls and golden spoons, decorative patterns on alcohol containers and amulet and charm containers, arms and armour are some examples of tools and household objects produced by gold and silver smiths.
