The Particle ཤོག་

This form, which is not as common as the other imperative particles, is used with both honorific and non-honorific formulations. It conveys immediacy, and implies that the person addressed is hesitant to do what he or she is being told. It may be translated by “Go on!”

  • གསུངས་ཤོག “Go on, say it!”
  • ཕེབས་ཤོག “Come here, will you!”
