Note: The ablative is often associated with verbs indicating acquisition, such as བརྙེད་ “to find,” ཉོ་ “to buy,” ཐོབ་ “to obtain,” གཡར་ “to borrow,” རག་ “to get, find,” and verbs of movement such as འགྲོ་ “to go.”

  • ལམ་ཁག་ནས་བརྙེད་བྱུང་། “I found it on the road.” (Literally: “found it from....”)
