Possessive Constructions
In possessive constructions, the subject is in the dative and the object in the absolutive. They are governed mainly by verbs relating to belonging or acquisition, such as ཐོབ་ “to get,” རག་ “to find, acquire,” སྐྱེ་ “to be born,” རྨི་ལམ་བཏང་ “to dream,” etc.
- ཚེ་རིང་ལ་རྟ་བརྙེད་པ་རེད། “Tsering found the horse.”
