Sacred Site Guide

Sacred site guides (skor tshad) are in effect descriptions of monasteries, temples, and their environs. This literary genre’s name literally means “circumambulation measure” and derives from the centrality of circumambulating sacred structures, items, and personages in Tibetan religious culture. (Dan Martin – June 21, 2004)
