Sorcery
Description
In the Buddhist tradition, these are presumably things done by "others" – i.e., by black magicians – and against which one seeks protection. Hence, there are many rituals whose aim it is to eradicate curses (byad sel, byad ma zlog pa, byad ma rtsa brlag, mthu gtad 'joms pa), or to act as antidotes to black magic (rbod gtong gi gnyen po). However, Tibetan Buddhists also sometimes use the terminology of sorcery in their own rituals for destroying enemies.
