Superior cerebellar peduncle

The superior cerebellar peduncle is mostly involved with cerebellar output to send information to the cerebral cortex. These include the dento-rubro-thalamic and globose-emboliform-rubral tracts, fibers that pass rostrally (ipsilaterally) and then cross at the inferior colliculus (decussation of the superior cerebellar peduncle). These fibers then continue rostrally to terminate in the red nucleus and the motor nuclei of the thalamus. Some afferent fibers include the spino-cerebellar tract.
