Piriform cortex

The piriform cortex is a structure of the cerebral cortex that discriminates between different odors and processes olfactory memory. The piriform cortex sits between the temporal lobe and frontal lobe. The piriform cortex has a spatial arrangement of activation depending on the smell or even association of a smell due to imagination or a visual stimulus.
