Bell

The bell symbolizes the feminine quality of wisdom and is used together with the thunderbolt. The bell is made from bronze or iron. It has a top with usually five prongs and a the tongue inside the main body. The middle part of the bell has a Buddha's face and decorative motifs and mantras are often written on the bell. The bell is used in the rituals by the left hand and it is often accompanied by the little handheld drum on the right hand.
