Religious Event
Most of public events in Bhutan have a religious significance and are occasions for religious celebration, worship or practice. These events are mostly staged on temple grounds or in dzongs led by the monks and priests. They include tshechu, rabney, choepa, drubpa, drubchoe, drubchen, myungney, maṇi, kora, mewang, nyernga, kuchoe, duechoe, kangsol, kongshag, zhingdrub, dungdrub, tordog, preuchoe, choekor, and monastic activities such as summer retreat, monthly confessions, etc. which are either annual or monthly events with fixed or flexible dates.
