Carpentry

Due to its abundant forests, Bhutan has a rich and vibrant culture of producing wood products. Besides wooden structures that form the supports of buildings, Bhutanese carpenters also use wood to make a wide range of household furniture, utensils, farming tools and musical instruments. Traditionally, Bhutanese carpenters used manual tools such as knives and axe though today electrical and mechanical tools are also used.
